銅鼓在古代常用于中指揮進(jìn)退，也常用于宴會(huì)、樂(lè)舞中，是一種流行于廣西、廣東、云南、貴州、四川、湖南等少數(shù)民族地區(qū)的打擊樂(lè)器。銅鼓是中國(guó)古代悠久而燦爛文化的結(jié)晶，是中國(guó)少數(shù)民族先民智慧的象征，它具有東方藝術(shù)的特色，是世界文化藝術(shù)寶庫(kù)之珍藏。銅鼓在越南、老撾、緬甸和泰國(guó)甚至印度尼西亞諸島也有流傳。
